Glendale has been successful in their bid for the four year City of Edinburgh contracts that commenced on 1st March 2013.
The contract sees Glendale supporting over 3,000 residents who are eligible for the City’s Garden Aid Scheme by providing a regular gardening service.
Glendale was also successful in securing the contract for the provision of ad hoc grounds maintenance works to low rise housing areas.
“Customer satisfaction and customer care are crucial parts of the City of Edinburgh contract,” comments Mike Brunskill, regional director for Glendale. “Our contract performance will be monitored and reviewed through a series of regular site visits between our contract management team and tenant led inspection groups.
“Tenant participation is very important to our contract delivery in Edinburgh as resident feedback can help us to establish what their requirements are and improve our service in order to better meet their aspirations.”
Glendale will provide local employment opportunities in the city in order to support the young and unemployed in the community. Work experience and career guidance sessions will also be made available for local students in order to assist them during the early stages of their careers.
“We will take on three locally based apprentices onto our award-winning apprenticeship scheme as part of our contract delivery in Edinburgh,” comments David Delargy, general manager for Glendale in Scotland. “The scheme will take three years to complete and the apprentices will receive a bespoke training plan to ensure that they achieve the knowledge and experience required to deliver the contract to the highest standard. Each apprentice will be supported throughout their training by an experienced mentor.”
Glendale’s contract with Edinburgh City Council starts on the 1st April.
