One of the projects our hard landscapers have completed is a commercial fencing project for our Royal Armouries contract, one of the oldest museums in the world. A fairly new contract, we started working with the Royal Armouries at the beginning of 2022, and the client has been nothing but pleased with our work since.
Fort Nelson, home to the Royal Armouries’ national collection of artillery and historic cannons, is open to extreme weather conditions due to the location of the site. The existing fence around the site had been damaged by the weather and Glendale needed to replace it with a secure and cost-effective solution. Glendale replaced 210m of post and wire fencing, 100m of post and timber fence, 1 junction gate and 50m of raised sleeper wall. Redesigning the sleeper wall from vertical slats to horizontal slats with galvanised RSJ posts. If the fence does need to be replaced again, small sections can be replaced instead of the whole fence.
