National green services provider Glendale has begun a four year contract to deliver grounds maintenance at Gatwick Airport.

Arboricultural specialists donned life vests this month in order to dismantle an uprooted oak tree that had got stuck under a bridge in the Surrey village of Brockham.

Green flags are continuing to fly in Glendale-maintained open spaces after the national green services company retained 45 Green Flags for its clients across the country.

Carole Burnett joined Glendale as a woodland and countryside manager in March 2016. Carole, originally from Dorset, has a professional background in conservation, particularly invasive species research. She moved into the grounds maintenance industry in 2013.

After 16-years of service, grounds maintenance operative Phil Brown announced his retirement at the end of June 2016.
