Glendale Countryside Ltd enjoyed two successful days exhibiting at Highways UK 2026, held at The NEC, Birmingham, on 14th and 15th October. The event brought together professionals, contractors and organisations from across the UK’s highways and infrastructure sectors to share industry knowledge, discuss services and build new business relationships.
As a specialist in grounds maintenance, arboriculture and green space management, Glendale welcomed visitors to Stand C85, where the team showcased the company’s range of highways maintenance and roadside management services.
Highways UK is one of the country’s leading events for professionals involved in the planning, management, maintenance and development of road infrastructure.
The two-day exhibition provided an opportunity for businesses across the sector to meet, discuss industry developments and share their expertise.
For Glendale, the event was an excellent opportunity to connect with existing contacts, meet new industry professionals and discuss the importance of maintaining safe, accessible and well-managed roadside environments.
Throughout the exhibition, the Glendale team was available to answer questions and discuss how its specialist services can support highways authorities, contractors and infrastructure organisations across the UK.
At Stand C85, Glendale highlighted its range of services that support the maintenance, safety and management of highways infrastructure.
Glendale provides roadside grass cutting, hedge trimming, brush clearance and vegetation management services. These activities help maintain clear sightlines for road users, improve visibility and prevent excessive vegetation growth along highways.
Tree management is an important part of roadside maintenance. Glendale’s arboricultural services include tree inspections, mechanised tree work and ash dieback management, helping identify potential hazards and maintain trees alongside roads and public spaces.
Through Glendale Civic Trees, the company provides specialist services for the supply, planting and relocation of large, semi-mature trees. These services support landscaping and environmental improvement projects across public spaces and infrastructure developments.
Glendale also delivers a range of highways support services, including ditch clearance, desilting, kerb scraping, litter picking and emergency post-accident clearance. These activities support the ongoing maintenance of road networks and surrounding infrastructure.
Managing invasive vegetation is another key service, helping control unwanted growth that can damage pavements, asphalt surfaces and surrounding infrastructure.
Together, these services demonstrate Glendale’s experience in supporting highways maintenance programmes and managing roadside environments across the UK.
Highways UK 2026 provided a valuable opportunity for the Glendale team to speak with professionals from across the highways sector.
The exhibition brought together organisations involved in road maintenance, infrastructure development, environmental management and associated services, creating opportunities to discuss current challenges and potential future projects.
Glendale welcomed the chance to share its experience in managing roadside green spaces and discuss the ways its teams support highways operations through planned maintenance and specialist services.
Events such as Highways UK provide an important opportunity to strengthen industry relationships and introduce Glendale’s services to organisations looking for experienced highways maintenance partners.
Following two days at The NEC, Glendale would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit Stand C85 and speak with the team.
It was a pleasure meeting new contacts, reconnecting with industry professionals and discussing opportunities across the highways sector.
A special thank you also goes to the Glendale team for representing the company throughout the exhibition.
We look forward to continuing the conversations started at Highways UK 2026 and developing new relationships across the industry.
