Glendale, one of the top three biggest tree surgery companies in the UK, has invested in a brand new depot and a team of specialist tree surgeons in Waltham Abbey.
“As part of our investment in Waltham Abbey, four new positions have been created,” commented Jamie Parish, contract manager.
“A further three positions are in the pipeline for the coming year,” he continued.
Jamie is looking for qualified arborists, or “climbers”, with at least five-years climbing experience and a track record of team management.
“We are looking for specialist highly qualified candidates to fill these positions. We want to set a specific standard from the outset because there are a lot of unqualified tree surgeons out there and we are not prepared to risk Glendale’s reputation.
“If any top end, highly skilled tree surgeons in the local area are looking for positions with an award-winning employer then they should contact me.”
Jamie is optimistic that Glendale will be very successful in Waltham Abbey, with great prospects and ongoing training on offer to the right people.
Two tree and timber apprentices have also been recruited in association with Capel Manor College, with whom Glendale has a long-standing partnership. Joining Glendale will provide them with valuable experience and training that will help them gain future employment.
Tree services are particularly important at this time of year when strong winds and snow can cause damage to vulnerable trees. Jamie said that the new Waltham Abbey team will be providing a 24-hour call out service for tree-related emergencies as well as advising on the tree risks to watch out for over the winter period.
“Tree owners often fail to realise that it is their duty to make sure their trees are maintained to a safe standard,” he added.
The Waltham Abbey team will also provide tree care support at Lee Valley Regional Park.
The depot opened on the 1st December 2013.
