Glendale prepares a local park for a memorial ceremony

Riversley Park in Nuneaton was given special attention last month to ensure it was at its best for the unveiling of a monument to the Gurkha soldiers.

Glendale’s teams ensured the grass was cut and the beds were well tended ready for the dedication ceremony.  The team also re-turfed the area around the monument where the veteran soldiers were due to congregate.

The Queen’s Gurkha Signals regiment is based in Nuneaton and the local community raised £40,000 for the stone monument to mark 200 years of service to the Queen.

The monument was unveiled in a memorial ceremony which was held in the park on the 26th April.
