Our grounds maintenance service fulfils two purposes. Firstly it makes sure the external aesthetic looks good for customers and people who use the sites and secondly it makes sure they are safe for those users and customers.”

Kerry Lawrence – Lee Valley Manager

In terms of our grounds maintenance side of the business, we have a huge amount of clients and we are very dedicated towards what they want to achieve.

Andrew Cox – General Manager, Rufford County Park

Glendale are responsible for the day-to-day grounds maintenance on site (Rufford County Park). We’ve got a well kept lawn, we’ve got the formal gardens, we’ve got park land and we’ve got a lake that all need maintaining and Glendale do an excellent job on that.”

Paul Wogel – Surrey Arboriculture Team Leader

As an arborist at Glendale, we are able to provide tree maintenance services to a host of locations such as highways, fire stations, all other emergency services, schools and also private sector clients.”

Andrew Cox – General Manager, Rufford County Park

Whenever we have any arboricultural problems and we’ve got a significant amount of woodland here, they (Glendale) have the expertise and the team to come and resolve it speedily.”

Kerry Lawrence – Lee Valley Manager

A lot of our countryside management, we look after Lee Valley Regional Park.”

Stephen Newman – Team Leader

“This site is Tottenham Green Marshes, it’s very nice site to maintain. It’s approximately 5 miles from Central London. Every August we have a meadow cut and it’s baled up and taken round to the local farms or stables where they use the hay for their own purposes.”

Kerry Lawrence – Lee Valley Manager

We’ve done 78,000 square metres of meadow cut. Every year we do that.”

Alex Paterson – Managing Director

We often work with customers, identifying what their 1-year, 3-year, 5-year aspirations are and that’s really important in understanding how it’s not just about today’s relationship, but it’s about tomorrow’s relationship as well.

Ben White – Director of Estates, North

With Glendale Live we provide our customers with an annual works programme to be carried out over each season.”

Dave Makinson – Team Leader

I work off a PDA system. In summer we are cutting grass, doing ground maintenance. In winter we are doing gritting and whatever comes to hand.”

Ben White – Director of Estates, North

Glendale Live provides confidence to our customers as they can see when we are on their sites carrying out the grounds maintenance.”
