Glendale confirms planting of more than 100,000 trees in a single year!

Despite a year of many challenges, Glendale has planted more than 100,000 trees on behalf of its clients between March 2020 and March 2021.

These 100,000 trees will eventually remove (fix) 17,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere, helping to tackle the well documented effects of climate change.  The average petrol car on the road in the UK produces the equivalent of 180g of CO2 every kilometre, while a diesel car produces 173g. The trees planted by Glendale over this 12-month period will neutralise the carbon emissions of approximately 95 million miles of motoring, or put another way, 2,375 trips around the earth helping Glendale’s customers achieve their own sustainability and carbon emission goals.

Current ongoing tree planting projects being undertaken by Glendale include a batch of whips going in at Portishead, North Somerset, working towards the target of 21000 for the area, and the planting of another 600 trees at a local Golf Club in Weston-Super-Mare. It has been particularly busy in the South West with further planting projects at Bristol University, North Somerset Council, and countless private houses in the region.
