Glendale and Isuzu on track with £500k fleet deal

Glendale has invested £500,000 into a new fleet from the commercial motor manufacturing company, Isuzu.

In what is its biggest deal to date, Isuzu will provide Glendale with 25 “utility-spec” double-cab D-Max pick-ups which have been prepared to Glendale’s own specifications.

The investment follows Glendale’s recent £5.5m framework win to provide utility arboriculture services on behalf of Western Power Distribution (WPD)

Mark McKinnon, company engineer, said of the deal: “After securing the contract with WPD we contacted Isuzu with our requirements – it was a very short lead time.  The whole process has felt like more of a partnership from day one and everything has been delivered in the most professional way.

“The vehicles have been prepared to our specification at a very high standard, including corporate wrapping and decals, Chapter 8 decals and lighting, off-road wheels and tyres, PDI and road registration.

“The investment into our fleet is in line with our commitment to ensuring maximum efficiency and safety, coupled with minimum environmental impact.”

Fleet operations manager for Isuzu, Alan Able, added: “It’s very gratifying that Glendale has chosen the D-Max for its vehicle of choice, as we know it has very high expectations when it comes to the quality, reliability and economy of its fleet.”
