Tenders Manager

Location: Chorley, Duxbury Park

Remuneration: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum

The Opportunity

The Tenders Manager is a crucial part of the head office based Business Development team, responsible for growing the business and expanding into new markets. The successful candidate will be provided with exposure to, and understanding of the whole Glendale business. This varied role will be part of a dynamic team submitting pre qualification questionnaires, tender/re­tender proposals and research projects across the full range of green services.

 

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Preparation of commercial tenders including constructing financial estimates/models largely based on bills of quantities and schedule of rates
  • Preparing compelling written quality submissions,  with innovative responses that exceed client expectations
  • Submitting and delivering bid presentations to existing and potentially new customers
  • Monitor submitted tenders (whether won or lost) in order to help with future strategy

 

The Person

The successful candidate will be:

  • Familiar with all tendering related activities and have experience of tender bid preparation
  • Financially astute with a commercial aptitude
  • Articulate, with clarity in all written material
  • A capable and confident communicator
  • An excellent project planner with strong organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Driven, with a desire to succeed under time pressured situations

Candidates should ideally have, previous experience of securing local authority or private sector contracts and be a confident user of MS Office and Google applications.

A full driving licence is essential for this post.
