The Opportunity

• Nuneaton consists of a variety of grounds maintenance delivered over the Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth on behalf of the Borough Council. Work includes: Highway verge mowing, sports field grass cutting, fine turf maintenance, sports marking, shrub bed maintenance annual flower beds, and Cemetery provision. 

• We are seeking experienced Sports operatives to assist in the smooth running of the contract where the responsibilities of this operative will be as followed : 
• •  Marking out pitches 
  •  knowledge of fine turf is ideal
  • marking out bowling green and pitch inputs
• This is a key role for delivering the prestiges Nuneaton & Bedworth grounds maintenance contract that ideally requires a high level of experienced operatives to ensure the smooth delivery of the contract to Glendale’s customers. 

The Person

• Must hold a clean full UK driving licence
• An enthusiasm and passion for green services is ideal and the delivering a technically competent and professional service.
• To ideally be a strong motivated team player with the ability to challenge current working practices and to increase productivity levels.
• Strong customer / client communication and sales skills.
• Someone with presence and stature, who is strong on planning and time management.
• A clear identification with the requirements of customers.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are ideal.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate will ideally hold some if not all of the following qualifications:

NVQ in Sports

PA1 & PA6 

Trailer License 

Full Clean UK driving license
