Pricing Analyst

Head Office, Chorley

This is an outstanding career opportunity for a talented aspiring pricing analyst to join an experienced commercial tenders team with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses. 

We require a motivated, driven and analytically minded Pricing Analyst capable of creating pricing proposals, developing pricing models, reviewing productivity outputs and interpreting data for analysis

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Tenders Manager the role holder will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and pricing RFP/RFQ documentation, preparing RFP clarification questions, identifying salient points including areas of risk and analysing contract terms and conditions and presenting findings to the senior management team. They will liaise closely with sales and operational teams to review resource productivity, machinery, vehicle and equipment costs and output levels. A key requirement is to keep abreast of current pricing by analysing won and lost opportunities whilst establishing and updating rate books and interpreting data from the management information system (MIS).

The Person

  • Sound commercial judgment and financial literacy with high level of MS Excel capability
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Thorough and methodical approach, with attention to detail
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure, work to deadlines and self-manage effectively
  • Requirement to travel to the Chorley office.
  • Requirement for practical assessment at the interview.

This position would ideally suit a Graduate who has achieved qualifications in Accounting and Finance with several years practical experience within a commercial sales or finance department. The role holder must be able to interpret specifications to develop pricing quotes, be proficient at developing pricing proposals for new and repeat work and a track record of success within a team to articulate your decisions and gain appropriate sign off.
