If the answers are “yes”, J Mallinsons Ormskirk, whose aim is to provide the best in sports field construction, has a fantastic opportunity for a high performing Operations Manager/Head of Operations to join their Senior Management team.

J Mallinson Ormskirk are responsible for many top flight sports pitches in the UK with high profile work at stadiums such as the BALI award winning City of Manchester Stadium, Goodison Park and Old Trafford as many associated training facilities. In addition they are responsible for:

• Designing, building, renovation and planning of USGA standard golf courses across the UK 
• Supplying building, renovation and drainage services to the main UK racecourses nationwide 
• Building and rebuilding a number of the main UK cricket grounds across the UK

Key responsibilities of the post-holder will include the management of the operational teams across multisite developments, overseeing the full end to end delivery of the company’s pitch works, project planning the delivery of contract works whilst maintaining and building relationships with clients. Also providing the day to day leadership required to meet local and national objectives together with participation and innovation in securing the long-term future of the business. 

The ideal candidate must be operationally and machinery focused with an excellent working knowledge of the use and maintenance of large landscape construction equipment. In addition the role holder should be a critical thinker, a leader with the ability to build relationships with the operational teams and be problem solving with a mechanically oriented mind. You will be an effective negotiator, demonstrating vitality and resilience under pressure.

A nationally recognised agricultural/construction or relevant technical qualification is essential.
