Head of Landscape Architecture – UK Flexible (Permanent)

epd is a landscape architecture and design, environmental and planning consultancy which operates across the UK, working for both public and private sector clients in a wide range of development sectors. We are a small but dedicated and committed team, who following recent reorganisation has ambitious targets for growth.

epd is part of the Glendale Managed Services group who are green space management specialists providing grounds management, arboricultural, landscape and related site delivery services.  Glendale Managed Services is a sister company to the Parkwood Group of companies that provide leisure, outdoor sports and recreation facilities, and golf courses. epd works alongside the in-house property project management team taking exciting leisure and tourism related projects from design through to completion.

Following recent promotions, epd is now seeking a Head of Landscape Architecture.  The role will include:

  • Supporting the management team to achieve financial budgets and strategic business development.
  • Leading the landscape team including supervision and development of team members to ensure effective project delivery to clients, sound project management and staff progression.
  • Developing the landscape team’s business and client relationships to retain existing and secure new clients to meet financial targets, including preparing tenders.    
  • Leading, supporting and undertaking a range of landscape architectural projects, using your experience and/or knowledge, from concept design through consenting and contract administration to completion phases, as well as landscape assessments and expert witness at appeals.

Candidates must be Chartered Landscape Architects with the UK Landscape Institute and have a minimum of 10 years’ postgraduate experience, and have managed teams and a range of major landscape projects.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical expertise, strong leadership and project management skills, and the ability to undertake business development.
