Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Falkirk, Scotland  

Salary – Dependant on experience/qualifications

 

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses. 

 

We have a long term grounds maintenance contract with Falkirk Council. Due to recent contracts awarded we are seeking a Supervisor to oversee this contract in Falkirk and to continue to develop our business in the area.

The Opportunity

Based at our Edinburgh office, the successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive supervisor, able to offer local operational management and support to our customers and service users across the region.  Monitoring the progress of scheduled work on site and taking quick and effective action to maintain high productivity, customer satisfaction and profit targets. Working to clear procedures to ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

You will have responsibility for up to 9 field teams working primarily across the Falkirk Council  Area for a large customer base delivering a grass and hedge cutting Garden Aid service as well as Ad Hoc works as requested. 

 

The Person

You will be qualified in horticulture or similar field with a minimum of 3 years junior management experience on similar contracts, hold a UK drivers licence and live within 45 mins of Falkirk. Monitoring of productivity is a vital part of the role with the use of the Glendale online field management works programme a pivotal tool for the post holder so good IT knowledge and a passion for modern management techniques is required along with great time and people management, administrative and communication skills.
