Glendale – Gatwick 

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses. 

 

The Opportunity

 

  • Glendale Gatwick is seeking to recruit  Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join the established team at Gatwick and assist with the Ground Maintenance activities that are carried out in and around Gatwick Airport. 
  • Candidates ideally should have prior experience in the horticulture and ground maintenance sector and will be required to contribute fully in the delivery of the high quality and visual works performed by the operational teams.  The successful candidates could be placed with our airside team and as such there could be a requirement to undertake some essential roles overnight, throughout the season. 
  • Full time position (40hrs/wk) – Permanent and fixed term contracts available 
  • Duties will include grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing leaves, shrub bed maintenance. Spraying, countryside works  litter as required.

 

The Person

 

  • Must have experience within the grounds maintenance industry.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment. Enthusiasm, good communication skills and a good understanding of health and safety are essential.
  • Ideally have a full, clean driving licence 
  • They will understand and subscribe to the importance of working as a team
  • The position would require the candidate/s to access all external areas in his/her role and as such, in addition to personal references the candidate will have to provide a personal reference, a minimum of 5 years employment reference with any gaps larger than 28 days to be additional referenced, evidence of security clearance will  be required and to provide an up to date DBS check.
