Glendale Bristol carries out a wide range of grounds maintenance, environmental and countryside management contracts throughout the Avon, Somerset and M4/5 area and requires 4 members of staff to join our GM team. Now is an exciting time to join the company as it is greatly expanding and more opportunities are created. Services offered at this office include grounds maintenance, woodland and estates management, vegetation management, fencing, tree surgery , forestry and environmental engineering projects.

The Opportunity

  • Contract with the opportunity to build and develop a career over the longer term as we are keen to build team resilience.
  • 40 hrs per week , 20 days leave plus bank holidays, sick pay and pension
  • Good opportunities for overtime earnings.

The Person

  • Proactive,  with a passion for grounds maintenance, outdoor working, countryside  and the environment
  • The candidate will have good organisational and interpersonal skills: be able to deal with clients and the public and work in a team
  • Be able to work to undertake duties with  minimum of supervision
  • The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge and skills in grounds maintenance, including pedestrian and ride-on grass cutting, but full training will be given.
  • Ideally, the candidate holds the relevant industry qualifications such as NPTC / Lantra certificates : CS30 /31 , brushcutter/hedge-trimmer, PA1/PA6. Possession of a valid CSCS card would be an advantage. A full UK driving licence is essential, preferably with trailer towing up to 3,500kg.
