Grounds Maintenance Operatives (Team Leader opportunities dependent on skills and qualifications)

CENTRAL SCOTLAND

Full Time, Part Time & Seasonal flexible roles available

Starting Salary £9.90 up to £11.50 per hour dependent on experience, skills and qualifications (with additional productivity bonus)

Glendale carry out grounds maintenance and landscaping for public sector and commercial clients across the whole of Scotland, with bases in Edinburgh, Falkirk and Aberdeen.

Full training will be provided. For people with ambitions to develop a career with us there will be the opportunity to gain tickets for relevant equipment and horticultural qualifications.

Who are you?

Applicants must be reliable and conscientious, have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn with the ability to work on their own initiative.

You should be able to adapt to different working conditions as the post is physically demanding. It would be advantageous if you have experience using a wide variety of small engine machinery such as strimmer, lawn mower, leaf blower etc but if not full training will be provided to get you up to speed. A full driving licence and PA1 & PA6 are desirable. Above all, we value reliability, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic to assist us in ensuring our customers receive a high standard of service.

If this is of interest to you we can look at an Apprenticeship in Horticulture at Oatridge Agricultural College, SVQ in Parks, Gardens and Green Spaces or Horticulture L3 for you.

Undertaking grounds maintenance work including mowing grassed areas, strimming, blowing, hedge trimming along with general maintenance to shrub and flower beds.
