Grounds Maintenance Chargehand – Ride on operator

This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses. 

The business is seeking to appoint a GMO – Ride on operator to join our team in Lee Valley. 

The Opportunity

This a great opportunity to work in the prestigious Lee Valley Regional Park, covering 26 miles from Broxbourne through to the Olympic Park in Stratford, based in our Waltham Abbey Depot, Essex, the successful applicant will be a proactive individual who has demonstrable experience in the use of ride on mowers, tractors, trailer towing, pedestrian and hand held equipment.

Reporting directly to the contract supervisor and / or designated team leader on a daily basis, this is a full time permanent position, Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.

The Person

• The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading small teams.
• Must have experience within the grounds maintenance industry.
• Experience in the use of ride on mowers, pedestrian &  handheld equipment are essential , tractor driving & PA1/PA6  are desirable.  
• Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment. Enthusiasm, good communication skills and a good understanding of health and safety are essential, as are a full driving license and the ability to tow trailers.
• They will understand and subscribe to the importance of working as a team
