A Glimpse into the Role awaiting You…

At Glendale we are developing state-of-the-art technology leveraging the use of Google Cloud Platform. Combining, optimising and integrating various Google Cloud services such as Google App Engine, Google Cloud SQL, Google Compute Engine, Google Cloud Storage we developed an internal solution – Glendale Live that assists our staff with completions of their daily tasks.

The internal portal enables our managers to track progress of the work at any point in time utilising JavaScript (React) for front end and Python 3 for backend.

We are looking for a Graduate / Junior developer to join our team based in our Head Office in Chorley, with the opportunity for hybrid / remote working.

This position is a varied role supporting the business in achieving business process efficiency and business objectives through the implementation and optimisation of in-house software solutions. We’re looking for a graduate or someone who has some programming experience and is ready to advance on their career path.

Who are you?

Essential skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience or web development degree
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS3
  • Knowledge of Python or any other back end programing language (PHP, Java, Node.JS, C# etc)
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge of React library
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to work with Google Workspace, Google Apps Script and Google Cloud Platform development solutions.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud APIs
  • Working knowledge of Git.
