Location: Head Office, Chorley

Salary – £18,000 – £22,000 per annum

We currently have an exciting opportunity for our Bid Writer to join our Business Development Team!

The successful candidate will assist with the delivery of the tender process from pre-tender stage to post- tender negotiations, in order to secure new business for Glendale.

Reporting to the Bid Manager, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. This is a graduate position which has a clear and achievable development program for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities of the role will be to:

  • Support the submission of tenders in accordance with company strategy and policy.
  • Prepare written submissions accompanying tenders professionally and to timescale.
  • Undertake necessary research and communicate with managers and operational staff to obtain all necessary information required to submit tenders.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documents within the Business Development library.
  • Establish an excellent knowledge of the company’s key markets and competitors, and to carry out market research projects in order to maintain this knowledge base.
  • Ensure the Company’s recordkeeping with respect to its tenders and contracts is kept up to date.
  • Take on any associated project work within Glendale to assist the smooth running of the business.

Main Duties

  • Supporting each aspect of the bid process from initial contact, EOI, SQ/PQQ, ITT, post-tender presentation.
  • Writing tender responses and bid content for a wide range of public and private sector contracts.
  • Liaise with internal managers to obtain the correct information and expertise to draft good bid responses.
  • Create compelling tender submissions, with innovative responses that exceed client expectations.
  • Ensure that the tender library is maintained and updated with the current and most recent information.
  • Assisting with coordination of multiple bids, ensuring correct time management and the highest quality of responses are achieved.
  • Create presentation content for business development and operational teams for contract and new business meetings.
  • Manage and support the growth of new client relationships by creating innovative and entrepreneurial solutions.
