Team Leader – Woodland & Estate Management

Location: Exeter

Glendale Countryside currently has a vacancy for a team member / Team leader at our Estates Management operations from Exeter, Devon.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day running of all types of countryside work undertaken throughout Devon, which includes a wide range of tasks from tree planting, fencing, scrub control, herbicide application, grass cutting, habitat management and woodland work for a variety of clients. 

The Person

The role also requires meeting and liaising with customers on a daily basis, as well as assisting in leading a small professional team of subcontractors, so good organisational and personal skills are required.  The position requires genuine commitment and self-motivation and offers an exciting challenge and opportunity.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant countryside management skills, leadership experience, and hold recognised practical qualifications such as chainsaw / pesticide etc and hold at least 2-years experience in a similar field.  A strong understanding and commitment to health & safety, and full UK drivers licence is required.  The ability to tow is desirable, along with holding a SSSTS & CSCS card.
