National green service provider Glendale has boosted its senior management team in the north with the appointment of Paul Bowyer as general manager in North Wales.

Paul will be responsible for overseeing two of the company’s key contracts in North Wales with SP Energy Networks and Anglesey Schools, and growing the business in the local area.

This is the first role in the green space management industry for Paul who spent 18-years serving with HM Armed Forces.

He has worked as a civilian for the past three years with Babcock as a contract support manager for Hawk Aircraft maintenance contracts at RAF Valley, before joining Glendale.

Paul said: “This is my first year in the green space management industry, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the management of the vegetation in the area, and expanding my knowledge of the industry and operations that Glendale undertakes in north Wales and the wider organisation.

“I think my experience as a contract support manager within the defence industry really lends itself to this role and I’m anticipating the fresh challenge.  My aims are to strive for complete customer satisfaction and to make improvements to our service delivery by ensuring that our extensively trained and qualified staff are utilised to their full potential.”

Alan Wilkins, regional director for the north at Glendale, said: “Paul’s leadership and management credentials mean he’s well placed to take control of our successful contracts in north Wales, helping to streamline service delivery and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.  I’m delighted to welcome him to the company.”
