Due to an increase in workload we seek to recruit a number of staff to assist in line clearance works across Devon & Cornwall, from our bases at Launceston, Truro and Helston.

Joining a professional team of 45 Arborists delivering Arboricultural Services to the highest industry standards. You will be required to hold NPTC units up to CS 30, 31, 38, 39 and preferably hold UA 1 & 2 Electrical works and a full driving license, preferably with the ability to tow. Ideal candidates will have commercial understanding and be a committed team player with motivation and initiative.

UA certification will be offered to candidates with suitable CS certs’ and experience.

Sales Manager

Glendale activities include; grounds management, countryside management, landscaping, horticulture and golf course management.

Glendale’s Civic Trees operates on a national basis from a dual depot/office facility in Watford. Civic Trees is a specialist company dealing with semi mature tree supply, planting and relocation.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for forecasting and planning sales across the business. The key responsibilities for this role are to: assist in sales/estimating of the business; develop advertising/marketing initiatives; manage customer database; discuss tree moving with customers; lead negotiations with clients about claims or returns; and ensure regular and effective communication internally and directly with clients.

The successful candidate will be educated to ND/HND level or above in a land-based study (e.g. Horticulture or Arboriculture, Landscape Management). The candidate will have a sound knowledge of landscaping sales and will have experience of setting estimates, taking into account all contributing factors. The ideal candidate will have good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with high energy levels and enthusiasm. They will have financial and medium term planning skills as well as operational awareness.
