Arborists and Trainees

We are seeking a motivated Arborists and Trainees to join Glendale’s prestigious contract with Sandwell MBC.

The candidate’s key responsibilities will be climbing and undertaking arboricultural duties including tree pruning, dismantling and felling.

You will need to be flexible, reliable and have a willingness to learn.

A very competitive salary is offered based on qualifications and experience together with 20 days paid holiday plus Public Holidays, Sick pay and Pension, in line with company policy. Full PPE and climbing equipment is provided, as well as ongoing career development with the potential to progress within a company with a national reach.

Holding the requisite NPTC Certificates and a clean driving licence (preferably a full pre-1997 or subsequent trailer test award licence) is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Ideal candidates will be committed team players with motivation and initiative.

The candidate must ensure that Health & Safety regulations are followed at all times. Golf Operations Supervisor [Fixed Term]

Immediate Start!

This role is a fixed term contract for up to 4 months, with the possibility to extend to 6 months. The role requires assisting the Regional Director to ensure the effective management of the business, ensuring that company standards are met as well as increasing usage of the course and its facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining good client relations, monitoring performance through accurate Company accounting and reporting procedures and an ability to expand business opportunities. Main responsibilities will include managing a small team, implementing the company’s health & safety policies and procedures, retail sales, ordering and management of stock, and the general growth of the green fee. Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic, have a ‘can do’ attitude with the drive and ability to maximise the potential of this public golf course.

Applicants will have knowledge of golf or a similar leisure background with a flexible approach as weekend and evening work will be required.
